Anti-wrinkle treatments
Doctor Alex offers a range of different non-surgical cosmetic treatments:
- Anti-wrinkle injections (such as Botox, Nuceiva and Azzalure) act as a muscle relaxant to help prevent and soften lines by reducing the effects of the muscles that cause them, for example: wrinkles that appear on the forehead from frowning, between the eyes, crow's feet, etc.
- Dermal fillers (such as Juvederm) restores/enhances volume, so are better suited for deeper lines, lines around the lips, nose-to-mouth lines, cheek enhancement, and hollowing/facial asymmetry. By replacing the lost volume to your face, it helps to create a more youthful appearance.
- Profhilo is a multi-award winning treatment which aims to boost and hydrate the skin, improve the appearances of fine lines/crepey skin, as well as bioremodelling the ageing and sagging tissue to provide a subtle tightening and lifting effect. - Fat dissolving injections such as Aqualyx can be used to permanently dissolve troublesome areas of fat that haven't gone despite healthy lifestyle and diet. Areas of treatment include under the chin (double chin/sumental), upper arms, buffalo hump (back of neck), stomach, abdomen, back rolls, bra rolls, saddle bags, top thighs (both inner and outer areas), bra rolls, buttock rolls, and more!

It may be that one type of treatment is more suited for the cosmetic effect desired, or a combination may provide the best results. This will be fully explored in the consultation with Doctor Alex prior to any treatment decisions being made or prescriptions issued.
The effects from both anti-wrinkle injections and dermal filler are not permanent, and usually last between 3 to 18 months depending on product used and area treated.
