What is a non-surgical liquid facelift?

The Liquid Facelift is perfect for those who want the effects of a full face lift, but without the need to undergo invasive plastic surgery! It restores the lost volume in several specially chosen areas in your face to lift, tighten, and reduce the wrinkles of the skin on your face.
The liquid facelift is also known as the "Y-Lift".

How does dermal filler (Juvederm) help?

As we age, volume in the face is lost, which then results in facial skin sagging, wrinkles, lines, folds and hollows forming. By using dermal filler injections to perform a liquid facelift treatment, this lost volume is replenished, helping to lift and contour your face back to a more youthful appearance.
Areas lifted with this non-surgical facial treatment include cheeks, jowls, nose and mouth lines, restoring hollow temples, and reducing eye bags/dark circles under the eyes.
The non-surgical Liquid Facelift can also be used to correct facial asymmetries, such as one side of your face appearing higher or lower than the other, or differences in facial "plumpness"/volume.

As your face is unique, not all areas may require treatment at once — this will be assessed at the consultantion, so that a bespoke liquid facelift treatment can be formulated to achieve the best result possible.
Dermal fillers can also be combined with anti-wrinkle injections (Botox), which can help optimise the refreshed, smoother, uplifted appearances achieved with the liquid facelift treatment.

When will I see the effects?

Rejuvenation results from the non-surgical facelift are seen instantly! There may be a slightly "fuller" appearance immediately after injection of the filler due to natural swelling, which resolves after a few days.

How long does the liquid facelift treatment last for?

Filler to lift the entire face region can last 6 to 18 months. The dermal filler Doctor Alex uses (Juvederm) is a non-permanent treatment, and can also be reversed/dissolved if needed.

Is it painful?

No. You may feel a pinprick sensation as the skin around various specially chosen points on your face is injected. Doctor Alex can apply special numbing cream beforehand if you are worried about this. An advanced micro-cannula technique can also be used to help minimise any discomfort.

How long is recovery time?

More or less immediate recovery — it can be performed in your lunch break! As a needle is used to inject dermal filler into the jawline, there is a chance you may get a small amount of bleeding/bruising, which usually resolves after a few days. Doctor Alex can also use special micro-cannulas to inject the filler, which can also reduce the risk of bruising.
