Non-surgical rhinoplasty (nose job)

What is a non-surgical rhinoplasty?

Noses come in all shapes and sizes; some have a "Roman" nose where it looks more hooked than straight, others have a bump or hump on the bridge of the nose (dorsal nasal hump), some are very flat without much of a nasal bridge or definition, whilst others have a deviation to one side. Some people may also have a nose tip that slopes downwards, and would like a nose tip lift to make it appear to point upwards slightly.

Dermal filler can be used to help disguise these nasal imperfections, straightening out lumps, bumps and dents, help lifting nose tips, and creating more defined nose bridges.

As it's a non-surgical rhinoplasty, this means far less down time than a surgical nose job — it can often be performed in 15 — 30 minutes, with minimal bruising or marks. It also means no risky general anaesthetic ("being put to sleep"), and no surgical knives, chisels or hammers!
Whilst nose filler can help to reduce the appearance of a deviated nose by straightening the sides, a non-surgical nose job cannot improve breathing problems due to deviated septums.

When will I see the effects from the nose filler?

The results from non-surgical dermal filler nosejobs are seen instantly! There may be a slightly "fuller" appearance immediately after injection of the filler due to natural swelling, which usually resolves after a few days.

How long do results from a non-surgical nose job treatment last for?

The aesthetic results from nose filler can last 12 — 18 months depending on a number of factors such as lifestyle, genetics, metabolism, etc.

Is it painful?

Not particularly. You may feel a pinprick sensation as the skin is injected. Doctor Alex can also apply special numbing cream beforehand if you are worried about this. A cannula can also be used to perform the non-surgical rhinoplasty, and this advanced technique helps to reduce bruising, as well as improving safety of the treatment.

How long is recovery time?

More or less immediate recovery — it can be performed in your lunch break! As a needle or cannula is used for the injection, there is a chance you may get a small amount of bleeding/bruising/swelling, which usually resolves within two weeks.

What are the side effects/risks?

As with any injectable treatment there are minor risks, including bruising and swelling. Rarely, risks includes infection, allergic reaction, vascular compromise and nerve damage.
