Profhilo is an exciting new product that aims to boost, hydrate, tighten and improve skin texture. It does this by remodelling ageing, crepey, sagging skin, leaving you with more of a youthful glow and toned skin!
Profhilo can be used to treat areas such as the face, crepey neck, the decolletage area, back of hands, upper arms, and knees.
Doctor Alex performs Profhilo treatments in both his Manchester City Centre and Sheffield clinics.
Profhilo is a unique, highly pure grade biocompatible injectable hyaluronic acid based product for treating skin laxity. With a high concentration of hyaluronic acid, it stimulates four different types of collagen and elastin, which results in significant tissue improvement.
Profhilo is therefore not just a skin booster, as it also has a significant tightening / lifting effect on the tissue.
However, Profhilo is not a dermal filler or biorevitaliser either — it has opened up a new injectable category — bioremodeling.
Treatments with Profhilo can also be combined with Botox and dermal fillers if required, in order to achieve the best possible result for you.
This treatment is best suited for those aged from roughly 30 years old and upwards — there is no upper age limit or gender restriction!
Bioremodelling and collagen stimulation can take a few weeks, it is a gradual process. You also require a second treatment session a month after the first in order to fully activate the Profhilo.
On average, a course of Profhilo treatment will last 6 months.
Not particularly. You may feel a pinprick sensation as the skin is injected. Doctor Alex can also apply special numbing cream beforehand if you are worried about this. A cannula can also used to administer the Profhilo, depending on the area (for example, hands and neck), as this advanced technique helps to reduce bruising.
More or less immediate recovery — it can be performed in your lunch break! As a needle or cannula is used for the injection, there is a chance you may get a small amount of bleeding/bruising, which usually resolves after a few days. You will also feel or see some small bumps where the Profhilo was injected, which usually settle down after 4 hours — 72 hours.
Profhilo is highly biocompatible. However, as with any injectable treatment there are minor risks, including bruising and swelling. Rarely, risks includes infection, allergic reaction, vascular compromise and nerve damage.
Prices start from £295 (special offer, reduced from £475). Every treatment is tailored towards your unique face/neck/hands/decollete, therefore exact pricing will be discussed at the consultation after a full assessment. Please see the price list for full list of treatments.
