What is "Scrotox"?

This can help ease pain caused by a tight scrotum, help the testicles to hang lower/looser, and reduce the amount of sweat produced by the scrotum (useful for sports such as cycling and running). Some men say the lower hanging testicles has the added bonus of making their penis appear larger.

How does Botox help?

Injections using Botox or Azzalure can help to relax the muscles that pull the scrotum tight, which can help ease painful contraction of the scrotum (hyperactive scrotum) and also make the testicles appear to hang lower.
It can also reduce the amount of sweat produced by your scrotum by blocking the nerve signals to the sweat glands.

When will I see the effects?

You should start to see/feel the effects of Botox and Azzalure on your scrotum after 3 to 5 days, but it typically takes up to 2 weeks before the full effect is achieved. A free review appointment is usually made at this time, where the effect can be fully assessed by Doctor Alex, and topped-up if necessary.

How long does scrotum relaxation treatment last for?

Botox and Azzalure injections to the scrotum usually last between 3 to 6 months before the next treatment is required.

Is it painful?

No. You may feel a slight pinprick sensation as the area is injected. Doctor Alex can also apply special numbing cream beforehand if you are worried about this.

How long is recovery time?

More or less immediate recovery — it can be performed in your lunch break! As a needle is used for the injection, there is a chance you may get a small amount of bleeding/bruising, which usually resolves after a few days.
